Patient Responsibility
We strive to provide quality healthcare to our patients. Providing quality medical care and supplying state-of-the-art equipment is a costly undertaking. Although we are committed to providing care to those who come to us, we expect patients to pay for the care they receive. Our prices are fair and not overly inflated like many hospitals. We offer limited financial assistance to those with a genuine need but expect most of our patients to meet their financial obligations promptly. Our financial contracts are in plain English, and the estimated cost of treatment is provided upfront. We offer a variety of payment plans and accept credit cards.
When Your Insurance Company Doesn't Pay
You are responsible for your healthcare expenses. This policy is explained in detail during your admission interview. In the event your insurance fails to honor its contract with you, our staff will assist you in filing proper complaints with ERISA, your employer, and the state. If those measures fail, we have a list of local attorneys willing to assist you in suing your insurance company for failing to honor your plan. Even if you sue your insurance company, you are required to pay the bill in full.
Applying for Financial Assistance
We acknowledge the financial needs of patients and families who cannot afford the charges associated with the cost of medical care and offer financial assistance to those who have an established need to receive medically necessary medical services. Regardless of whether an individual is eligible for Financial Assistance, emergency medical care is provided on a non-discriminatory basis. For patients who require financial assistance or experience temporary financial hardship, we offer limited payment plans.
